Rules of the table

The aim

Finish closer to 21 than the house without going over. Going over 21 is a bust and loses the round straight away.

Hand values

Cards 2 to 10 count at face value.
Jacks, queens and kings count 10.
An ace counts 11, or 1 if 11 would take the hand past 21. A hand holding an ace still counted as 11 is shown as “soft”.

The house's fixed rule

The house draws while its total is 16 or lower and stands on any 17 or higher, including soft 17. It makes no choices beyond that rule.

Your options

Hit draws another card.
Stand keeps your total and passes play to the house.
Double is available on your first two cards: your stake doubles and you receive exactly one more card.

The house checks for blackjack as soon as the cards are dealt. A total of 21 after hitting stands automatically.
